The County Card Scheme first introduced in 2005 by The Warwickshire Union of Golf Clubs allows members of Clubs who had joined the scheme to play each other courses at greatly reduced rates - approximately half the normal visitors green fee.
Initially this scheme covered only four local counties - Warwickshire, Worcestershire, Staffordshire and Nottinghamshire - and was only available to men.
Its immediate success - together with a strong lobby from those men who enjoy playing golf with their wives - quickly resulted in it being extended to include Lady members of these Clubs and each subsequent year the number of Counties and the number of Clubs who participate has increased significantly.
The scheme for 2009 now includes Clubs in :

which makes more than 688 courses for members of affiliated clubs to enjoy - an amazing opportunity at an annual cost of only £10 per player.
Cardholders can visit any of the participating clubs once during the year, subject to pre-booking by telephone.
Cards are available for both male and female members of participating clubs and boys under 18 playing off a handicap of 28 or less and girls under 18 playing off a handicap of 36 or less.
Members are only entitled to one card each, which is not transferable.
