The Mail on Sunday Classic - Round 8

Harborne Ladies' winning run of seven matches came to an end today when they were beaten at home by an exceptional team from Cosby Golf Club which included both the County Champion and her runner-up!  Our ladies battled hard and none lost earlier than 16th but they could not stop the onslaught, losing the match 5-0.

Reaching the 8th round of the Mail on Sunday was in itself a magnificent achievement and many thanks go to all the ladies involved in playing and caddying, Rahela, Debbie, Mary, Kath, Helen, Hayley, Amanda, Sarah, Pat, Rosa, Val, Janet, Judith and Linda.  Thanks also to all the ladies and men of HGC who came out to support the team this afternoon.

Many thanks to Linda, Lady Captain for the report and commiserations ladies.  Each round has become more exciting with your achievements and despite yesterday I think you've all been great sports.  

Commiserations to Pat Sharpe, Lady Captain of Royal St David's whose team were knocked out on Saturday.

Roll on February for next year's competition!
