The Seniors Christmas Dinner

Around seventy Seniors and their wives attended the Annual Seniors Dinner on Wednesday.  The new Club President, Stephen Cox, and the Lady Captain, Linda Jordan and her husband, Peter, were our guests.

After welcoming drinks, the diners settled down to their selections from the Christmas menu (in true Seniors style, their meal choices were put on menu cards on each table to remind them what they had ordered!).

Several members who no longer play regularly - including Geoff Nield, Geoff Horton, Geoff Welsh, Gordon Surman and John Humphreys were welcomed to the evening.

Following the meal the Seniors Captain spoke - welcoming the guests and briefly reviewing the Seniors Year.

The Club President responded on behalf of the guests – indicating that he believed the Seniors to be a strong and vibrant part of the club and wishing us success in the years ahead.

As tradition dictates the evening ended with a raffle and our President was successful in winning himself a selection of beers!!
