Penultimate Mixed Winter Greensomes

It was a glorious day and some of us had too many layers of clothes on.  I had to put a few of mine in the car when we got to the 9^th.  Another lady (no names mentioned) was seen, much to the embarrassment of her husband, undressing behind a tree to remove her thermals!  Issy Bartram got a hole in one on the 6^th.  She was unable to stay for the meal but generously provided a bottle of wine for each table to celebrate her achievement – it’s her first hole in one.

There were no prizes for second place but the position was won by Hilary Blake and Mike Hughes with 39 points.  Clear winners though, playing with the Terrys, were Rosa and Geoff Hancock with 41 points.

The final date for the Mixed Winter Greensomes is the 12 April and the start sheet is still open for anyone who maybe interested.  Following the golf there will be an end of season dinner consisting of the much loved, carvery for all members who have played in the competition throughout the Winter.  All that is asked is for you to put your names down on the list, located on the notice board in the Ladies Entrance Hallway.
