Fine sunny weather greeted the golfers Wednesday morning. A strong Halesowen team (including two single handicappers) was always going to be a strong challenge - not helped by a couple of the Harborne players feeling under the weather.

A couple of halves from Paul Millard/Dave Kettle and Brian Jones/Peter Voase were all that Harborne could show for their morning's work.

Shot of the day must go to the Halesowen player whose drive at the 1st hit the wooden post alongside the tee and rebounded back over his head - hitting the cluhouse and rebounding to come to rest on the path adjacent to the tee - taking his free drop rumours are that he still carded a 6.

Halesowen players were very complementary of our course - especially our greens.

We look forward to the return match in June.
