The latest golfing technology is coming to HGC

A month or so ago, many of you took part in a survey asking if there were to be a golf simulator at HGC would it be of interest to members.   As a direct result of the large percentage of positive feedback, it is great to be able to tell you the possibility is now going to become a reality as of December.  The golf simulator is set to be installed in a few weeks’ time in the rear of the Pro Shop after some minor refurbishment.

So exactly what sort of treat are we in for?  Well, fancy playing full rounds of indoor golf on some of the world’s most famous courses?  Practice on a virtual driving range?   Want an in depth analysis of your performance monitored and stored for future comparisons?   Then all this will soon be possible and more, meaning all year round you can get the best out of your golf, and the club.

This latest technology will also be a great asset to Stuart enabling indoor coaching whatever the weather and also professional club fitting facilities alongside being able to run fun competitions such as longest drive or nearest the pin.

If you want to see this system in action, then check out The Shot Centre at Sky sports and if you want further credence both Ricky Fowler and Ian Poulter use the system and have said its ‘awesome’.  So if it’s great for those guys it’s going to be even better for HGC.  Roll on December!
