There had been an application from the Boys Club from Mr W J Mumford for a reduction in their rent. This was considered but as was pointed out the present rent was a merely nominal one and the Committee did not feel they were called upon to make any reduction.
Entertainment for Wounded Soldiers
The Secretary reported that some forty convalescent soldiers had been entertained on Saturday. He reported that subscriptions had been received to cover the expenses and prizes and a balance remained of £2. 5. 0.
Resolved
That a resolution of thanks be sent to Mr Worrall for his kindness in organising the concert.
Economies
The Chairman reported that the Executive Committee had under consideration the future position and that at the moment tentative negotiations were proceeding with Edgbaston Golf Club with a view to some arrangement beneficial to both. It was thought possible that some temporary agreement might be come to, but the matter was at the moment in very elementary stages, therefore he asked the Committee to authorise the Economies Committee to continue them and to report later.
Resolved
That the matter be left in the hands of the Economies Committee to carry further and to report to the next meeting.
Signed
A Godlee, Chairman
