The annual match against the Ladies was played yesterday morning. Although the forecast was not promising – the weather improved (a touch of sunshine at one point) and all golfers remained dry – except one of the Ladies (name withheld - but await the weekly HGC bulletin)- who managed to fall into the brook at the 5th.  The Harborne pairing playing in the match (Geobey/Millard) claimed ‘gamesmanship’ – but were quick to offer mouth to mouth resuscitation).

The pairings of Dave Orchard/Sharad Singhal, Gary Abraham/Hugh Jenkins and Graham Bradshaw/John Mellard  brought wins for the Seniors – but this was not enough to win the day.

The match was the last as Captain for Linda Jordan – who after the match praised the friendships between the two sections and thanked the Seniors for their help during the Ladies County Week.

Dave Orchard hoped that everyone had enjoyed the day and congratulated Linda on her two years as Captain and wished her the best for the future.
